Wild Turkey Farm was established in 1989 as an equestrian breeding and training facility in Woodside, California. In 2004, Equine Facility Design was engaged to provide the architecture for the design of the Farm’s new home just south of Portland, a site which spans more than 200 acres. PSE acted as the structural engineering consultant for the project, providing the structural design for the various new buildings on the property. |
A new sport horse track lines the perimeter of the 180-acres to the north, and several acres of pastures and wooded trails preserve the natural beauty of the facility’s surroundings. New structures on the site include training, stallion, broodmare, and retirement barns as well as indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a veterinarian center, and a breeding facility and lab. |

Sexton Mountain Reservoirs Inspection Reservoir Evaluation, 5.0 Million Gallon
1998-2003
Client: City of Beaverton, Oregon

|
This project was performed in two phases, an evaluation in 1998 and rehabilitation in 2003. In the first phase, a structural evaluation of this existing 5.0 Million Gallon prestressed concrete water reservoir for gravity and lateral loads was performed. A report was generated, which included the results of the structural analysis as well as reporting of the existing condition of the reservoir based on field investigations. The report also included preliminary construction cost estimates and repair recommendations for existing construction defects and roof ponding conditions.
The second phase of this project consisted of design and generation of construction documents for various repairs, including the installation of new concrete columns to support areas of roof ponding. This design detailed a process of pouring new columns through temporary roof penetrations.
