Peterson Structural Engineers, Inc. (PSE) is honored to be part of a project that supports the local community. A new safe parking lot recently opened in San Diego County, providing designated parking and facilities to help address homelessness. As part of the project team, PSE designed structural components, including foundations and supports for premanufactured structures. Facilities provided include ADA-compliant restrooms, an administration office for a case manager, a storage shelter, and a guard shack. The project is aimed at providing a temporary safe space for community members and was modeled after similar programs that have successfully helped users transition to permanent or transitional housing.
