We are excited to have Tom Bloomer, PE co-present with John Thayer, PE of Consor Engineers at the California-Nevada Section American Water Works Association Annual Fall Conference this month. Attendees will learn about the diving inspection methods and seismic evaluation approach for the 150’ tall reservoir inlet/outlet tower, which also serves as a raw water intake to a conventional water treatment plant in San Diego County. The Helix Water District’s Lake Jennings Inlet/Outlet Tower was constructed of reinforced concrete in the early 1960’s and distributes water to roughly 277,000 people throughout parts of San Diego County.
