Roof with a View: Renton, WA Steel Water Storage Reservoir

Not only does the 1.29 MG steel water storage reservoir in Renton, Washington showcase a beautiful mural, its roof (towering at a height of 100’) has quite the view of the Puget Sound. The reservoir sits atop an extensive pile-supported mat foundation that was required to accommodate the site soil conditions. The 50’ diameter, 100’ tall reservoir provides the City’s Kennydale area with improved water supply reliability, increased storage capacity for fire and potable use, and enhanced seismic resilience. PSE proudly served as the structural designer for the reservoir, foundation, and site retaining wall.
