Gabriel Park Improvements

PSE is proud to have been part of the design team for the Gabriel Park Improvements Project located in the Southwest area of Portland, OR. The park upgrades replaced the existing playground with a new inclusive and accessible play area triple the size of the original. The new play area features accessible routes to all play equipment; an inclusive spinner that allows users to wheel or walk on – promoting collaborative play; interactive sensory panels that provide a range of texture, sight, and auditory engagement; accessible slides; a 10’ tall climbing wall and inclusive climbing dome to encourage creative play and social interaction; interactive music elements and water play features; a perimeter fence for safety; restroom accessibility improvements and 50 new trees! PSE provided structural design services from predesign through to construction phases of the project.
