Legacy Grove Park Adventure Play Area

Legacy Grove Park is a 30-acre park developed on the site of a former community hospital. The two-acre fully enclosed Adventure Play Area is designed to be highly inclusive with ramps, slides, sensory activities, imaginative and constructive play and quiet areas for retreat. PSE completed a structural design review of the play area facilities, as designed by the manufacturer, as well as structural design of a climbing structure. The curved, dulcimer-shaped climbing structure pays tribute to the bluegrass instrument and renowned local dulcimer-maker, Homer Ledford. Children can climb on, in and throughout the dulcimer and make their own music, songs and dance.
