Sumner Auditorium Repair, UC San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA / EDUCATION

PSE designed the structural repairs for the hardscape structures surrounding the University of California, San Diego Sumner Auditorium which included cantilevered ledges, steel handrails, and retaining walls. PSE’s service for the project included performance of the initial on-site evaluation and generation of permit documents.

Sumner Auditorium on the UCSD campus required repairs to its surrounding hardscapes to address deteriorating concrete and outdated safety railings.  The facility is located adjacent to Scripps Pier in La Jolla, CA and in close proximity to the corrosive ocean air environment.  PSE completed the design of the structural repairs which included design of cantilevered ledges, steel handrails, and retaining walls.
