Washington-Jefferson Skatepark

PSE is pleased to have been a part of the design-build project for the new 23,000 SF skatepark which, upon opening, was the largest covered skatepark in the country. Structural design for the skatepark elements considered both beginners and expert skaters to include many features, such as an iconic ribbon, mini-snake run, bowls, a full barrel loop and other reinforced concrete elements that required successful coordination between the project team members. The skatepark provides skateboarders, BMX riders, and other wheeled enthusiasts a place to enjoy the sport and perfect their skills. Located in a climate that can limit use of skateparks during winter months due to wet conditions, the covered public skatepark will be able to be enjoyed year-round.
